Background

This gene encodes a downstream nuclear effector of the Hippo signaling pathway which is involved in development, growth, repair, and homeostasis. This gene is known to play a role in the development and progression of multiple cancers as a transcriptional regulator of this signaling pathway and may function as a potential target for cancer treatment. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

	Western blotting analysis using anti-YAP1 antibody (Cat#71223). Total cell lysates (30 μg) from various cell lines were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with anti-YAP1 antibody (Cat#71223, 1:10,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti rabbit secondary antibody (Cat#201, 1:20,000) respectively. Image was developed using NaQ™ ECL Substrate Kit (Cat#716).

	Immunocytochemical staining of HepG2 cells with anti-STK3 antibody (Cat#71226, 1:1,000). Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; STK3 was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647.
